The Boston-area Emergency Safe Home Network was developed to give GBT men who are leaving abusive relationships a safe and supportive place to stay.

WARNINGRestraining and Protective Orders

Multnomah County Courts:

Restraining orders can be obtained by visiting room 211. Advocates are available to assist with paperwork between 9:30am and 11:30am. Paperwork needs to be filled out and turned into the clerk by 12:45pm. The judge will begin hearing cases at 1:30pm.

Clackamas County Courts:

Paperwork is available at Victims Assistance 503.655.8616 708 Main St in Oregon City and at the Clackamas County Courthouse which is 807 Main St in Oregon City. Paperwork must be turned in by 11:30 to see the judge at 1:00. Advocates are available at Victims Assistance and through Clackamas Women's Services.

Washington County Courts:

Advocates are available through the Center for Victims Assistance 503.846.3830 Restraining Order Paperwork can be picked up at the Center for Victim Services which is located on the first floor of the Washington County Courthouse which is located at 150 N 1st Ave in Hillsboro. Survivors can pick paperwork up beginning at 8am. They should arrive by 10:30 if they want to see the judge the same day, but they can fill the paperwork out at any time and arrange to see the judge at a later time.

Clark County (Washington) Courts:

Applications can be picked up in the District Court Office. Washington State has four types of protective orders: order of protection, restraining order, anti-harassment order, and no contact order. Advocates at YWCA Safechoice 360-696-0167 can help guide you through the process.

Multnomah Co. Legal Aid:

Free legal representation at contested restraining order hearings for low-income petitioners with Multnomah County restraining orders only. When you call, be sure you say you have a restraining order hearing coming up.
